TICK TOCK · LEARN TOGETHER

Privacy policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026. This policy describes the current Tick Tock website and clock-learning activities.

Who operates this site

Tick Tock is the public-facing name of this independent learning website. Contact details and the current support status are on our contact page.

Learning without an account

The app does not ask children for a name, email address, date of birth, photo, or location. It has no account registration, uploads, public comments, or chat. No analytics or advertising scripts are included in this version.

Information stored on your device

The browser’s local storage saves completed lessons, stars, the selected lesson, spoken language, minute-label preference, second-hand visibility, clock speed, and the Calm mode animation preference under the key ticktock-learning-v2. This allows progress and preferences to remain between visits. The app does not send this stored record to us. It remains until replaced, reset, or removed through your browser’s site-data controls; the browser may also clear it.

Parents settings can reset stars and completed lessons. To remove all saved preferences too, clear this site’s data in your browser. Blocking storage does not prevent the lessons from working, but progress may not be saved.

Website delivery and speech

When you open a hosted website, its hosting provider receives connection information such as your IP address and the requested page and may keep access or security logs. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes connection and traffic information to deliver and protect the site; see the Cloudflare privacy policy. Retention depends on the service and hosting configuration. The downloadable clock can also run locally without a website request.

Listen uses the browser or operating system’s speech service. Depending on your installed voice, that service may process the lesson text remotely under its own privacy terms. Listen is optional. The app does not request microphone access or record speech.

Children and parents

This learning tool is intended for children with adult guidance. Please do not send children’s personal information in support messages. Parents can remove local learning data using the controls described above. If you believe personal information has been shared with the operator, use the contact page to request review or deletion. Some privacy rights depend on the data held and the applicable law.

Messages and external links

If an adult contacts the operator by email, the email service processes the sender’s address and message. Send only the details needed to explain the issue. External links lead to services with their own privacy practices.

Advertising and changes

Google AdSense is not active in this version, and no Google advertising cookies are set by the app. Before ads are introduced, this policy must be updated to identify actual vendors, data uses, retention and choices, with the required child-directed treatment and consent controls implemented. Read our advertising information and cookie and storage information. Updates to these practices will be reflected on this page.
